First and foremost, President Ma Jianxing delivered a lecture entitled ‘Deep Learning: the Transformation of Classroom Teaching towards Core Literacy’, which started from ‘Innovation in classroom teaching practice under the perspective of new teaching materials’, discussing some problems facing current education. Meanwhile, President Ma expressed that we should find challenges and opportunities in the problems, and actively respond to them. On the other hand, the core quality of education revolves around ‘what kind of person to cultivate’. Therefore, as teachers, we should ‘foster character and civic virtue and promote students’ all-round abilities in areas such as morals, intelligence, physical fitness, work and aesthetics simultaneously’ in the teaching process. In addition, we are supposed to pay attention to the integration of real situations and cultivate students' correct values in teaching while teaching them important knowledge. Evidently, President Ma's lecture was both strategic and practical, giving teachers great inspiration to carry out the new curriculum reforms.

Finally, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Principal Assistant Xu Zuitai gave great affirmation to the teachers' work in the early part of this semester, expressing that in the future, we should start from the new College Entrance Examination, practice the basic skills of teachers, make good use of the platform, improve teaching, and promote efficient teaching in the meantime. Furthermore, under the background of the current new College Entrance Examination, new curriculum standards and new teaching materials, this lecture enables our teachers to further understand and implement the new College Entrance Examination, new curriculum standards, new teaching materials as well as new requirements. Thus, we should adhere to the law of education, deepen the reform of education methods, innovate the implementation of classroom education, deepen the understanding of College Entrance Examination, and help Anqing Foreign Language School’s Senior High School Division to a higher level!
